Warranty Guidelines
All products offered by American Radiator come with a limited warranty that is determined by the manufacturer. Warranty coverage is not implied by American Radiator and is subject to manufacturer guidelines. Please see the list of products and warranty time period offered for reference.
1. Limited Warranty Guidelines
The warranty period begins from the original date of purchase for all products.
All limited warranties cover defects in materials and craftsmanship and are subject to manufacturer inspection and approval.
Limited warranties are void if the product has been modified, has been used incorrectly, or if related components have not been properly prepared for installation.
Limited warranties apply to the individual item only and not to any other components.
2. Non-Warranty Events
The following are not considered manufacturer defects and are not eligible for warranty coverage.
Product that has been damaged during installation, transportation, or storage.
Product that has been altered, modified, repaired, or contaminated.
Product that has failed due to being involved in a wreck, a collision, or damage due to road debris.
Product that has been neglected and not properly maintained.
Damage due to the failure of other components related to the item.
3. Coverage
American Radiator is not responsible for reimbursement of labor, materials, supplies, hazardous fees, towing charges, rental fees, unit downtime, or any other costs associated with the removal or replacement of a potential part failure.
The warranty coverage applies only to the part in question. American Radiator has no obligation or implied responsibility for other parts associated with a potential failed item.
The manufacturer may require additional service information to be supplied with the warranty. Failure to supply the requested information voids any warranty coverage.
4. Warranty Return Process
You must request an RMA number from our inside sales professionals for all warranty items. This can be done by emailing [email protected] or by calling 877.203.4572.
Do not write the RMA number on the outside of the box. Please reference the RMA number on the shipping label and place a copy of the RMA inside the package.
You may be required to submit photos of the potential warranty prior to sending the item back to American Radiator. Photos will include (1) an overall picture of the item, (2) pictures of the problem area, and (3) a picture of the serial and/or product number on the part itself.
In some cases a warranty item may be approved to be scrapped in the field. This approval will be communicated by American Radiator. Items scrapped without prior approval are not eligible for warranty coverage.
The customer is responsible for freight charges associated with a part being returned to American Radiator.
If a replacement item is needed before the warranty is approved the customer will be charged for the replacement part and freight. Once the warranty item has been inspected and approved, the customer will be credited back the cost of the replacement part and freight for the replacement item.
